Followed by Q&A with Phil Rosenthal and John Woldenberg

Follow Phil Rosenthal, creator of the hit TV series "Everybody Loves Raymond", in this incredibly funny true story of the attempt to translate "Raymond" into a Russian sitcom. Even if you've never seen an episode of the show, you will relate to Phil's American "fish out of water" tale, where culture clashes lurk around every Moscow corner.

Feeling of deja vu
I've been waiting for this movie ever since I've heard that it would play here, at Place-Des-Arts 5 minutes on foot from my place. So many stereotypes were killed when I took my vacation in Russia. To cite only one example, Phil expressed in the movie his doubts about going there because of the kidnapping we hear on the news all the time. We all heard about that and I was at one point afraid of going there. From the beginning, we embarked into this noble and yet humble mission. I enjoyed the mood, the rythm. My only regret is that I would've been curious watching a complete Russian version of the sitcom, with subtitles. But it still deserves a 5/5. Awesome job!
